Born Paris, France
Education: Academy of Fine Arts - Budapest, Hungary
Akademie der Bildenen Kuenste - Vienna, Austria
After completing graduate work at the Academy, Ivan created numerous sculptures
for both the state and private patrons. Arriving in New York in 1957, he worked
as a sculptor and commercial artist. After several one-man shows he became
an early member of the 55 Mercer Gallery, a cooperative artists' gallery in
Soho. Over his career Ivan received many art awards and fellowships. He passed
his creative spirit on through teaching at the Fashion Institute of Technology
and the Silvermine Guild of Art Center
