Mr. Uhlman has exhibited at the National Academy of Design in New York City and the Smithsonian Institution in Washington DC. His work has received awards in many prestigious exhibitions including Art of the North East USA.
Mr.
Uhlman served as an apprentice with two master sculptors. Ivan
Biro -on the left in the photo below-(primarily known in Europe - Classically
trained in Vienna and Budapest-founding member of 55 Mercer Gallery in SoHo, NYC)
and Reuben Nakian -center in the photo below-(the
last of the Post-Impressionist sculptors, his artworks are included in the collections
of Museum of Modern Art, Metropolitan Museum of Art, Hirshhorn Museum at the National
Gallery, Washington DC, and other major museums throughout the world).
